The first time Amanda and I talked, it was immediately obvious that she and Mike were super fun, down-to-earth people. So it was no shock then that on their wedding day there was a buzz in the air and an energy about the day! They got ready in separate rooms at The Lord Jeffery Inn, and then had their ceremony outside on the hotel’s back lawn. The sun was shining, there was a little breeze in the air, and it was one of those unusually warm fall days we’ve been lucking out with this season. Watching Mike’s face go through the whole range of emotions as Amanda walked down the aisle was like nothing else – their eyes were transfixed on each other! Amanda’s brother officiated the ceremony, which was filled with lots of happy tears, laughs, and raucous cheering. Throughout the ceremony, he constantly paused to ask guests to cheer and yell hooray and it added such a fun vibe and made it so clear these two are surrounded by amazing people who love them. During the ceremony, Amanda and Mike brought flowers to their mothers and grandmothers as a token of thanks and those little moments continued throughout the day, culminating in some pretty emotional first dances all around. The reception tent was just bursting with love! It felt like a perfect reflection of them. Together, Amanda and Mike are completely at ease and I loved watching them together throughout the day – especially noticing the little things they do, like how his hand always finds the small of her back when they’re chatting with guests. They’re basically the cutest. Seriously, Amanda and Mike, you’re the best, and I loved documenting your day!
