I am so excited to get to know you more. I bring my whole self to this work, which includes my fight for equity and justice. I am not a photographer who separates my beliefs and passions from photographing humans because I don’t believe they’re separate. I can't ask you to be vulnerable if I'm not willing to do the same.
Old Stone Church is a beautiful structure just as the name suggests. It’s a wide open space with wood beams, and there is something both romantic and editorial about the location. After coveting the spot for so long, the fabulous Katherine Brackman Photography and I started dreaming up a shoot inspired by the building and autumn in New England. Of course, if you know anything about the weather in New England, then you know it doesn’t always cooperate exactly the way you plan for. We were planning to photograph the editorial using only film, and I had visions of a perfect sunset over the water. Instead Mother Nature gifted us an overcast day, but that’s the reality of being a wedding photographer! Plans always change and you change with them. Now you can enjoy the fun of playing film or digital with each image!
Drawing on the inspiration of fall, Jo from Twig & Briar pulled together perfect autumn tones that popped against the bare trees. Riddy of Ridgely Calligraphy is a magician of paper goods and created the most beautiful invitation suite, complete with a floral envelope liner that drew on and complimented the colors in the florals. The talented Nancy of Silver Whisk Bake Shop jumped on board to whip up the most delicious combination of fall flavors: caramel drizzle, blackberry, and raspberry filling. Heaven in cake form! Planner and stylist extraordinaire Kate Murtaugh helped pull a natural table together and I loved how all these details came together in a way that gives a nod to autumn without screaming fall. These colors and tones could totally make for beautiful spring or even winter inspiration as they draw on the natural beauty of New England. If you’re planning your own wedding, use this inspiration as encouragement to not shy away from color, no matter what season we’re in. A huge thank you to all of the crazy talented vendors listed below that helped make this vision come to life!
