I am so excited to get to know you more. I bring my whole self to this work, which includes my fight for equity and justice. I am not a photographer who separates my beliefs and passions from photographing humans because I don’t believe they’re separate. I can't ask you to be vulnerable if I'm not willing to do the same.
Sarah and Alex are some of the most fun loving, down to earth people around so it was no surprise that their wedding at Saphire Estate was the perfect expression of them and they threw one heck of a dance party! Seriously, so much dancing to so many amazing classics aka all the best boy bands and of course my girl Britney! It was a total blast and such an infectious energy throughout the whole day and night.
Sarah and her ladies began getting ready for the day at their home before heading to the venue to finish getting ready there. Often there’s so much hustle and bustle on the wedding day, but Sarah was the picture of calm the entire morning. If she was feeling any nerves, she didn’t show them! The ladies enjoyed a little bubbly, helped with Sarah’s final primping as she got into her dress, and even had time for a few tarot card readings! Meanwhile the gents enjoyed sandwiches, beers, and shared a pass around of Jim Beam (maybe Alex had some pre wedding jitters?!) before heading over to the wedding. The ceremony at Saphire Estate is nestled on the side among gorgeous garden grounds. And Fleurishing Flowers provided gorgeous flowers and accented the arbor with pinks, greens, and whites that really complemented and popped against the purple of the bridesmaids’ dresses!
Alex’s uncle officiated the wedding, with Sarah and Alex writing their own vows. There were so many times throughout the ceremony (and even in the cards they exchanged before the ceremony!) where it was obvious that Sarah and Alex are the perfect compliment to each other. The way that Sarah looks at Alex gives you little butterflies and if a person’s love can be measured in how many photos they willingly take and smile for, Alex’s love is never ending! When I first chatted with them over a year ago they insisted that they’d be awkward in all their photos and then we had their engagement session and they of course killed it. So by the time we got to the wedding, these two were complete pros and everything felt so natural with them. They basically just snuggled and laughed and kissed and you can’t ask for more! I really wish these two could get married every weekend! Please?!
