As part of our Boston area Tuesday’s Together group, I had the pleasure of collaborating with all of these talented folks to create a styled wedding editorial inspired by the city. Commonwealth Cambridge was the perfect venue backdrop and served to help us pull industrial elements in to balance a bit of hard and soft. We loved the softness and texture of velvet, and used that to compliment the cement floors and rich wood details of the restaurant. Jocelyn of Ink Drops and Roses created gorgeous custom stationary and a bad ass leather jacket, perfect for partying it up at the reception and then running away in the night. For the stationary, we wanted to use Burgundy as the base, and then add in more the industrial elements of gold and black. The play on hard and soft was also the perfect opportunity for Lyndsey of Verde Salon to showcase how to change up your reception look by turning your loose curls into a fun braid to make it easier to dance, dance, dance all night long! The best part about collaborating on a shoot is seeing what everyone brings “to the table. Ashley Marie Floral Design took our inspiration board and ran with it in the most perfect compliment to our color palette. A deep, heartfelt thank you to all the fabulous vendors who helped bring this vision to life!
