Hannah and Chad’s October backyard wedding was a true labor of love. A close family friend lent their property and barn, which Hannah and Chad cleaned out and transformed for their beautiful celebration. The weather was perfection: warm air with blue skies dotted by just a few whispy clouds and vibrant fall foliage. So many family members contributed to the day, from appetizers handmade by Hannah’s stepmother, to cookies baked by Chad’s mother, to the scrumptious carrot cake (Hannah’s favorite!) that her sister lovingly baked and decorated. Everyone was on hand that day to set up the ceremony chairs and reception tent and whatever else needed to be done. It was so special to see how everything came together perfectly in just a matter of weeks, and it made the details of the day that much more special that everyone had a hand in it.
It’s no surprise that from the moment I arrived, everyone was so warm and welcoming. You could feel the love and excitement surrounding Hannah and Chad. These two have such a strong, quiet connection that I think speaks for itself in the photos. They are at peace around each other. The way they look at each other, the way Hannah has to look up at Chad, gives you goosebumps it’s so beautiful. And I love how they hold on to each other, so much love in their embrace. Throughout the day, it was obvious that they are surrounded by not only the love between them, but also their families and friends. Heartfelt speeches had everyone fluctuating between tears and laughter and more tears. I feel so lucky to have been present to witness and document such a memorable day. All my love and wishes to you, Hannah and Chad!
